A Sacramento woman who died in a plane crash late Friday morning in unincorporated San Mateo County has been identified as 57-year-old Melissa Magee, according to the coroner's office.

Magee and another person were in a small, white single-engine Cessna 172 when it crashed into a home in the 1000 block of Park Avenue in Moss Beach at around 11:18 a.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration and fire officials.

Magee was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim was flown to a hospital, sheriff's spokesman Detective Salvador Zuno said.

The plane had left from the Sacramento Executive Airport and was reportedly heading to the Half Moon Bay Airport.

FAA spokesman Allen Kenitzer said that the FAA hadn't received any reports of injuries on the ground. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will be investigating the crash, Kenitzer said.
