Budget airliner WOW air will fly from Iceland to San Francisco in 2016.
Five flights per week from Reykjavik to San Francisco are expected to launch in 2016, with tickets on sale in January.
According to USA Today, WOW's airfares may be cheap, but ancillary charges exceed those of many other commercial companies. For example, it costs $48 to check a bag and $29 to bring a carry on over 11 pounds on board.
Phil Bloomfield from cheapflights.co.uk told The Mirror that he expects one way flights will cost around £150, or about $231.
