Wragg Fire Grows to 7,100 Acres, 80% Contained

The Wragg Fire in Solano and Napa counties spread to 7,100 acres by Wednesday morning and was 80 percent contained, a Cal Fire spokeswoman said.

Spokeswoman Suzanne Blankenship said fire crews are worried that triple digit temperatures could cause the fire to grow.

The fire has been burning off of Highway 128 near Lake Berryessa, prompting an advisory evacuation warning for Gates Canyon Road and the area west of Pleasants Valley Road. Blankenship said an evacuation center was ordered for Ulatis Community Center in Vacaville and the Lake Solano campground is currently closed.

A handful of buildings have been destroyed, and three “outbuildings” have been damaged as well as one home.
