Adele set fire to the rain, and the comments made by several Bay Area critics who chided the singer for being too conversational at a recent concert.
During her show on August 2 at Oracle Arena in Oakland, Adele responded to the concert critics by saying, “I got bad reviews in San Jose. I was like, ‘shut up dude, suck my (expletive).”
That’s right critics; she made a male anatomical reference.
Although she didn’t call out the news organizations by name, the Bay Area News Group, the San Francisco Chronicle and the East Bay Times all published reviews criticizing Adele for chitchatting with the crowd rather than working her magical vocals through song.
This is not the first time Adele has responded to critics.
In fact, her response sent a wave of dedicated fans to share these comments on Twitter, because as Adele has said in “Many Shades of Black” from her first album 19, “Take it as it comes, and be thankful that it’s done.”
