Airport Super Shuttle Causes Crash, Kills Teen Girl on I-80 in Solano County

An investigation is underway into what caused an Airport Super Shuttle to cause a deadly crash, killing a teenage girl.

It happened about 1 a.m. Sunday on westbound Interstate 80 in Solano County. The 17-year-old teen pulled over to the shoulder. Another car with three people in it pulled in behind her.

That is when police said an airport shuttle driver slammed into that second car, pushing it through a fence. The shuttle then hit the teen's car, which slammed into the teenager standing nearby. The girl died, and everyone else had minor injuries.

Investigators said alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
