Husband Surrenders to Sheriff After Wife Shot to Death

A husband who had been considered armed and dangerous surrendered to the Alameda County Sheriff's Department after his wife was found shot to death in their Castro Valley home, the sheriff's office said in a tweet on Monday.

Feng Mi, 46,  turned himself in on Monday night and is custody, according to the sheriff's department. Authorities added that they also recovered the outstanding 2013 Toyota Rav4 he had been driving.

The surrender ends a search for the shooter after police issued an arrest warrant for him on Friday. His wife, Yunyi Zhang, 45, was found dead in her home in the 19000 block of Stanton Avenue around 4 p.m. Friday.

The couple has a 14-year-old daughter and an 8-year-old daughter who are safe, according sheriff's officials.

Sheriff's deputies have responded several times to domestic violence incidents involving Feng and the victim at their Castro Valley home.
