Anne Wojcicki Wants You to Pull the Plug

Could you go a day without your BlackBerry? How about a day without your smartphone, Facebook, email and Twitter?

The wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brin wants you to do just that. Anne Wojcicki is a board member of Sabbath Manifesto, whose annual National Day of Unplugging starts Friday evening at sun down.

Wojcicki, who sometimes carries four phones with her, and friends are encouraging Americans across the land to disconnect their phones and computers and reconnect with family and friends for one day.

Starting Friday at sun down and going until Saturday at sun down, the National Day of Unplugging  is asking people to pledge to be plug free for 24 hours and see how they feel.

For those who can't stop the violent shaking that goes along with not updating his or her Facebook status, feel free to plug the espresso machine in and pull a shot. Just make sure to do it with friends.
