Dr. Dre Starring in Apple's First Scripted Television Series: Report

"Vital Signs" is reportedly being executive produced by the rapper and headphones magnate.

Apple appears to be getting into the television business in a new way.

According to Hollywood Reporter, which cited multiple anonymous sources claiming familiarity with the deal, Apple's first original television series will reportedly be "Vital Signs," a scripted series executive produced by and starring Dr. Dre.

Neither Dr. Dre nor Apple would comment on the project, but the publication reports it's both violent and racy, with an orgy scene already shot and in the can.

Director Paul Hunter has shot music videos for Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre's step-brother Warren G.

Dr. Dre is not the only super-producer with his eye on television. Amidst his recent Twitter pleas for money addressed to Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, Kanye West also tweeted that Apple Music's rival streaming service Tidal is "funding a lot of [his] scripted content ideas."
