Apple Orders More iPhones to Meet Demand

Frustrated that Apple has already sold out of the iPhone 4S before it is even out? Don't worry.

Apple has reportedly ordering the production of more of its newest smartphone. The Cupertino-based iPhone-maker is reportedly adding another order of five million new phones.

This is on top of the 10 million that Apple already ordered for the year.

Apple reportedly sold one million iPhone 4S models the first 24 hours the phone was available for pre-order. The previous record was 600,000 phones.

The phone begins shipping Friday.

AT&T, Verizon and Sprint are all reporting sellouts on pre-orders for the 16GB iPhone 4S.
