Firefighters are investigating a string of small brush fires in Walnut Creek as possible arson.
There have been four fires reported in a two-week span in the Arbolado neighborhood, said Fire Marshal Robert Marshall of the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District.
Witnesses said there were kids seen in the area of a fire reported Wednesday. The blaze started immediately after kids walked from the direction of where the fire occurred, officials said.
A fire reported Thursday was contained to half an acre, Marshall said.
Authorities are concerned because there are a lot of homes in the area.
