A man became trapped between a train and a station platform at the Balboa Park BART station in San Francisco Monday morning, prompting systemwide delays, according to the transportation agency.
The man was eventually rescued and transported to the hospital, according to BART. It is not clear at this time how the man became trapped or what his condition is.
The Balboa Park station reopened around 11:40 a.m., BART announced. Trains were single-tracking at stations near Balboa Park following the medical emergency.
Earlier in the morning, BART reported that the Balboa Park station had reopened before later issuing a correction, stating that it was still closed.
BART police are conducting an investigation, BART reported.
