"It's tragic,"' Pasadena Police Chief Phillip Sanchez said. "We have an innocent family that was going about their business on a special day and a special time of the year.''
In the Tuesday shooting, Victor McClinton, 49, a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department law enforcement technician was killed. Police said that he was not the target of the shooting.
