Belongings Left at Gilroy Garlic Festival After Shooting May Take Days to Retrieve

Following the mass shooting at the Gilroy Garlic Festival on Sunday, people who have personal belongings, vehicles and other goods to retrieve from the scene will experience significant delays, city officials announced Monday.

The FBI is reportedly in the process of securing, documenting, cataloguing and warehousing belongings found in the crime scene.

According to the FBI, the recovery of those belongings and their return to rightful owners may take several days.

Members of the public in need of assistance replacing prescription medications should call 408-842-0432 for assistance.

Inquiries about non-medicinal belongings should be directed to the incident information center at 408-846-0548.
