Oakland Police say the body of a woman was found inside a burning car and her death is being investigated as a homicide.
The Oakland Tribune reports police say the woman is from San Leandro but didn't release her name or age.
Her body was found Friday night inside a burning vehicle in North Oakland.
Oakland firefighters extinguished the blaze, and the woman was pronounced dead inside the vehicle.
Police have no motive for the killing and announced no arrests. The homicide is the 88th in Oakland in 2015, two more than all of last year.
