Smashing Entrance: Burglars Use U-Haul Truck to Break Into Antioch CVS Store

A trio of burglars used a U-Haul truck to break into an East Bay CVS store Thursday morning.

They crashed through the front window to get the ATM, but they abandoned the effort while the machine was only half-way out of the building.

Officials believe the burglars were either spooked by the store alarm or Antioch police got there too fast.

Officers saw the suspects’, car which then led them on a chase through town.

About 10 miles away, in Concord, one man jumped from the moving truck. He was injured and taken to the hospital.

Police arrested two other suspects, but released no further information.
