AC Transit Bus Service Returns to Salesforce Transit Center

AC Transit bus service has returned to the Salesforce Transit Center in San Francisco following nearly a year of repairs at the $2 billion transit terminal.

The entire complex had to be shut down last September because crews found large cracks in the bus platform. Engineers later found a second crack which took months for crews to find a solution.

The transit center's rooftop park and grand hall reopened in June. The following month, Muni and Golden Gate Transit resumed bus service on the lower level of the transit terminal.

AC Transit resumed full weekday service on the upper level Monday morning.
