San Francisco Giants star Buster Posey paid a visit to young patients at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital on Tuesday.
Posey was joined by college basketball announcer Dick Vitale as the pair recognized National Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month.
Posey took the time to pose for pictures, sign autographs and make bedside visits.
The soft-spoken Giants all-star catcher says days like this are important.
The Giants will donate tickets to pediatric cancer survivors and their families for Saturday's game.
Later Tuesday, Posey was back at the ballpark as the Giants took on the San Diego Padres at AT&T Park.
