If you're like one of the many Bay Area residents who fit the stereotype, eating a bird on Thanksgiving may not be your thing.
Lucky for you, there is a restaurant that caters to all those who would rather eat tofu than turkey and those who prefer a good local vegetable over a canned jar of cranberries any day.
The most thankful cafe around, Cafe Gratitude, is hosting its annual free Thanksgiving meal from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today.
The organic cafe will serve a free organic meal at three locations to anyone willing to deal with the lines.
That's a pretty big deal for a restaurant thathas a way of making organic meals from Whole Foods seem cheap. For those willing to go the extra mile, all three restaurants -- in Berkeley, San Rafael and San Francisco -- are looking for volunteers to help serve meals, man the bar, wash dishes and set up and taken down the event.
