Wasting all your time at work on Wikipedia? The University of California, Berkeley knows all about it -- the school is paying 24-year-old Kevin Gorman to do just that.
Gorman, a recent Cal grad, is the nation's first "Wikipedian-in-residence" at a major university. He's a staffer brought on board by the school to advise on "how to publish information" on the free online encyclopedia, according to the San Francisco Business Times.
He'll be tasked with figuring out how to combine the Cal curriculum with the content on the editable information source, the newspaper reported, and how to "continue a productive relationship" between Berkeley and Wikipedia.
Hopefully, that extends beyond basing term papers on Wikipedia entries.
One of his first Wiki-tasks will be writing "guidelines" to class instructors on how to design "Wikipedia-based class assignments," the newspaper reported.
