Just moments after the announcement was made, Twitter users like Snoop Dogg used the social media site to express their excited in the progressive move. His tweet stating, “We just legalized marijuana in Cali” garnered over 5,000 retweets and 8,000 likes within fifteen minutes of posting.
Many took to their own page to tweet out the hashtag, “#SmokeWeedEveryday” while others used the news as a way to help them get through election night with Twitter user Dolly stating, “It’s ok everyone we can be high for the next 4 years.”
