Campbell Police Searching for Man Suspected of Trying to Lure Girls Into His Vehicle

Campbell police are searching for a man they say is trying to lure young girls into his vehicle.

Police describe the man as being in his 40s, medium build, dark brown hair and brown eyes. He was seen driving a red truck.

The suspect tried to lure girls on Tuesday and last week near Rosemary Elementary School on Eden Avenue, according to police.

Campbell Police Capt. Gary Berg said in one of the incident the suspect followed a middle school-aged girl.

"A scary experience for her," Berg said. "There were threats made for her to get into the vehicle and when that occurred she luckily did the right thing and took off running."

A woman reported last month that she saw the suspect in the same area exposing and inappropriately touching himself.
