Carport Fire in Oakland

Red Cross has been called to aid those displaced.

A carport fire in Oakland has displaced some 26 people, but nobody was injured in the blaze.

The fire at 267 Adams St. started at around 4 a.m. Tuesday. It's a one-alarm fire and there is no cause, as of yet.

Six cars were damaged, along with five apartment units. Eighteen adults and betwee six and eight children will be displaced. The Red Cross has been notified.
