'Cat Call' Leads to Stabbing That Critically Injured 17-Year-Old: SF Police

Officers arrested an 18-year-old woman suspected of stabbing a teenage boy after and his friends allegedly cat called her friend in San Francisco South of Market neighborhood Wednesday evening.

Around 5:40 p.m., the 17-year-old victim was with his friends near Market and Seventh streets, when one of his friends allegedly cat called a person in a different group, according to police.

One the victim's friends then allegedly threw a plastic bottle at a member of the other group. A suspect from that group, described as an 18-year-old, then engaged in a fight with the teen victim, stabbing him in the torso with a knife, police said.

The teen victim was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to police.

The name of the woman who stabbed the teen has not been released.
