Charging Stations Open for Those Affected by Power Shutoff

Napa County has opened two charging stations for those without power and needing to charge cell phones or other devices on Saturday.

The charging stations are aimed to help those affected by PG&E's public safety power shutoff Saturday in some North Bay locations.

Charging station locations are the Capell Valley Volunteer Station, 1193 Capell Valley Road and Gordon Valley Volunteer Station, 1345 Wooden Valley Cross Road.

In addition, Napa County has established a public information line for its emergency operations center.

The public is asked to call (707) 299-1501, not the non-emergency dispatch number, for information regarding the public safety power shutoff.

Approximately 1,600 customers in the North Bay are affected by the power shutoff on Saturday. The shutoff, targeting areas of extreme fire risk, is due to an extreme weather forecast on Saturday.

Areas affected include portions of unincorporated Napa County including Lake Berryessa and portions of Solano County including parts of Suisun City and unincorporated areas near Vacaville and Winters.

The power shutoff is expected to be in effect through at least Saturday afternoon, according to PG&E.
