Police are investigating a shooting involving two cars on Highway 24.
The California Highway Patrol shut down lanes while investigating the shooting on the highway near Pleasant Hill Road in the Lafayette area. The highway has since reopened.

WATCH HEREA collision with a third vehicle also occurred during the incident, police said, adding the two cars involved in the shooting drove off from the scene. The vehicle involved in the crash stayed at the scene.
It was not immediately known if someone was hit during the shooting, according to the CHP.
