Cisco: Your Future Is in the Cloud

4.8 Zettabytes for each one of us!

"A chicken in every pot?"

"40 acres and a mule?"

How about:  "4.8 zettabytes for every man, woman, and child?"

That, according to tech giant Cisco Systems, could be the rallying cry in a few years, as each of us becomes more dependent on cloud computing.

Cisco just released a study showing huge growth in how much we store in the cloud -- a 33 percent annual growth spurt between 2010 and 2015.  A zettabyte, by the way, calculates to a trillion gigabytes.

Cisco, which we should mention benefits from all of this -- its technology is used to build cloud based services -- says all the video, music, and data we move regularly brings the cloud world into the consumer world.  No longer just for businesses, cloud storage will be something we all take advantage of soon, thanks to easy to use services from companies like Apple and Box.

So, get ready to claim your zettabytes.  You've earned them.
