California Highway Patrol officials have confirmed that a vehicle involved in a crash that shut down northbound lanes of Interstate Highway 280 in San Jose Saturday night was carjacked.
Officials said that the driver of the carjacked vehicle had tried earlier to take several other cars.
All lanes reopened just after 10 p.m. after being closed for about 45 minutes.
