Firefighters responded to a two-alarm residential structure fire early Tuesday in downtown San Jose, according to the fire department.
The blaze, first reported at about 4 a.m., was burning near the intersection of Third and East San Salvador streets, fire officials said.
The fire department urged people to avoid the area.
No injuries were immediately reported.
