Donations Come From Everywhere for Tortured Tracy Teen

The Tracy Police Department has received donations from around the country for a 16-year-old boy who police say was held captive and severely abused for more than a year.

Police say they have collected a roomful of items for Kyle R., who authorities say was chained to a fireplace, beaten with a baseball bat, burned and starved in a house in Tracy.

The donated gifts include iPods, video games, clothes, a football, a skateboard and a 4-foot tall stocking filled with goodies from students at Tracy's West High School.

The boy escaped from the house on Dec. 1 and sought help at a nearby gym. He was only wearing boxer shorts, and his filthy body covered with bruises and blood. Four adults have been charged with abusing the boy.
