Earthquake measuring 2.7 magnitude strikes near Sonoma

A preliminary 2.7 magnitude earthquake struck Tuesday morning near Sonoma, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The quake, centered about 8 miles north of the city of Sonoma, hit at 4:41 a.m., the USGS said.
