M2.5 Earthquake Rattles Near Concord: USGS

A preliminary 2.5 magnitude earthquake struck in the Concord-Walnut Creek area Wednesday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The quake, at about 6:45 a.m., was centered about 3 miles southwest of Concord, the USGS said.
