M2.9 Earthquake Rattles Northeast of San Jose: USGS

A preliminary 2.9 magnitude earthquake struck northeast of San Jose, near Calaveras Reservoir, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The quake, which hit at about 8:40 a.m., was centered in the same area where three temblors hit earlier this week.
