A preliminary 2.6 magnitude earthquake struck the Peninsula Friday afternoon, according to the United States Geological Survey.
The quake hit at 4:27 p.m. and was centered 3.3 miles north of Pacifica and 3.6 miles south-southwest of Daly City, the USGS said.
