
A preliminary 2.5 magnitude earthquake struck Wednesday morning near San Jose, according to the United States Geological Survey.
The quake, centered about 5.5 miles east of Milpitas and about 9 miles northeast of San Jose, struck at 10:16, the USGS said.
No other information was immediately available. Updates to come.
