2.7 Magnitude Quake Reported Near Concord

A magnitude 2.7 earthquake was reported about one mile northwest of Concord at 11:43 p.m. Tuesday. 

While small, it was felt and heard at least as far away as Oakland, according to reactions posted on social media. 

The preliminary United State Geological Survey map placement of the quake was just east of Buchanan Field.
