Emergency crews responded to the scene of a crashed paraglider in a Milpitas park Sunday afternoon, according to dispatch.
The incident was reported in Ed Levin County Park at 1:10 p.m., a dispatcher confirmed.
The female pilot, who landed on a hill, has been transported to an area hospital via a rescue helicopter, officials said. The woman broke both her ankles and injured her hips.
Park officials said incidents like this are rare. They typically respond to five to six rescues a year.
