Emeryville Police Arrest Two Suspects in Connection With Armed Robbery

Police in Emeryville on Friday arrested two suspects in connection with an armed robbery.

Lamonte Hardman, 47, of Oakland, was arrested on suspicion of robbery, parole violation and probation violation, and Shavonna Johnson, 29, of Oakland, was arrested on suspicion of robbery, a misdemeanor warrant and probation violation, according to the Emeryville Police Department.

On Friday at 7:19 p.m., officers responded to the ULTA Beauty store at 3839 Emery St. on a report of a theft.

Employees reported two suspects stole merchandise from the store and pulled knives when they were confronted.

A witness followed the suspects as they fled to an encampment in the 3500 block of Peralta St. and hid in a tent, police said.

The two suspects were taken into custody without incident.

Officers also located two knives used during the robbery, police said.
