Fallen Tree Removed From Major Road in Lafayette

A major road in Lafayette has reopened Monday morning after being closed when a large tree fell across it, police said.

Lafayette police issued an advisory at 6:33 a.m. about the closure of St. Marys Road at Camino Colorados because of the fallen tree.

Shortly after 9 a.m., the department issued an update saying the roadway has reopened after crews removed the tree.
