A driver died in San Ramon after a Thursday night crash when a vehicle rear-ended a crane, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident, first reported at 11:25 p.m., occurred on southbound Interstate Highway 680 near the Bollinger Canyon Road off-ramp, according to the CHP.
A Sig-Alert was issued just before midnight. All lanes were reopened about 6:15 a.m. In its log, the CHP characterized the accident as a “sedan vs. a dump truck.”
