At least one person has died in a multi-vehicle collision near the Interstate Highway 80/I-680 split at Cordelia in unincorporated Solano County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident was reported at 10:53 p.m. Saturday on eastbound I-80 near the connector from northbound Interstate Highway 680. At least two vehicles were involved, and as of 11:20 p.m. the two left eastbound lanes of eastbound I-80 remained closed while the CHP investigates.
More information was not immediately available late Saturday night. Traffic was backing up fast, and drivers should avoid eastbound I-80 through Cordelia if possible.
