Fatal Shooting Outside CVS Pharmacy in Livermore

Livermore police are investigating a fatal shooting that took place Saturday evening in the parking lot of a CVS Pharmacy.

At 6:05 p.m., LPD received multiple calls of a shooting at the CVS on 1500 First Street. Officers arrived within minutes and found two people shot inside a vehicle in the parking lot. The two people have not yet been identified as of Saturday evening.

The front passenger suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital. That passenger is undergoing surgery Saturday night, police said. The driver was found dead when officials arrived on scene.

Police are searching for two suspects and said the suspected vehicle fled out of the parking lot onto Railroad Avenue. The California Highway Patrol located the vehicle on I-580 and initiated a pursuit, but lost the vehicle in Oakland.

"It's very dangerous and it's high risk," Livermore Police Sgt. Steve Goard said. "That’s what’s concerning to us. That’s why we are dumping every resource and we are very concerned we don’t know what it is. We’re trying to discover why they chose this location to engage in criminal activity."

Police said the suspect vehicle is a black 2006 BMW 325i with two red stripes on the hood. The license plate number is 5PLR682.

Livermore police is asking the public to call 911 if they see the vehicle.
