Residents safely escaped a 1-alarm fire that destroyed their home in unincorporated Mill Valley early Sunday morning, according to a Marin County Fire dispatcher.
The residents of a two-story house in the 500 block of Panoramic Highway were awakened by the fire and called 911 around 4:30 a.m., the dispatcher said.
No injuries were reported.
Fire crews battled the blaze and were able to knock it down around 5:45 a.m., according to the dispatcher.
An estimate of the damage caused by the fire was not available, but the house is considered a total loss, the dispatcher said.
The cause is under investigation.
