A fire on an island in East Contra Costa County destroyed two structures and prompted evacuations early Monday morning, according to fire officials.
Only three of the 15-25 residents on Bradford Island wanted to evacuate by ferry as the blaze burned roughly 210 acres.
Officials estimated about about half the island was on fire, but all other residents wanted to stay, fire officials said.
This island like others in the area have no fire resources.
