Flood Warning Issued Around Napa, Russian Rivers in Sonoma County

Flood warnings have been issued for southeastern Sonoma County for the Napa River near St. Helena and the Russian River near Guerneville, according to the National Weather Service.

A flood warning continues for the Napa River near Napa.

The warning for southeastern Sonoma County extends to 10:45 p.m. Wednesday.

For the Napa River near St. Helena, the warning begins late tonight and extends to Thursday evening while the warning for the Napa River near Napa continues until further notice, weather officials said.

Weather officials also have added flood warnings for the Russian River at Johnson's Beach near Guerneville until further notice.

Resident Sam Hudack loaded up at a sand bag station in St. Helena in the pouring rain. He was making sandbags for some elderly friends who were unable to do it themselves.

"Couple houses off 29, the basement floods, all the wine gets flooded," Hudack said, adding that these are times to make sure heighbors are safe. "You just gotta help when you can."
