Foe Of Gay Marriage Rips Perez Hilton

Spat Follows Miss USA Pageant

A Sacramento opponent of gay marriage on Tuesday tore into Miss USA pageant judge Perez Hilton for his stinging criticism of Miss California, Carrie Prejean.

Hilton on asked Prejean during Sunday's pageant if she felt all states should approve same-sex marriage, to which to she answered she felt that marriage should only be between a man and woman.

"No offense to anybody out there but that's how I was raised," Prejean said. But Hilton did take offense. He later called Prejean "a dumb b----" with "half a brain."

"Why does an unjust judge get a free pass for retaliating against and openly slurring a beauty pageant contestant?" asked Randy Thomasson, president of SaveCalifornia.com and SaveAmerica.com.

"The bad guy here is homosexual activist Perez Hilton, who never should have been allowed to be a judge," Thomasson added. "Carrie Prejean was unfairly discriminated against and viciously punished just because she knows and believes that marriage is reserved for a man and a woman."

Pageant organizer Donald Trump hinted that Prejean's answer to Hilton probably cost her the crown.

Kristen Dalton of North Carolina won the pageant, while Prejean was first runner-up.

California voters last November approved Propostion 8, which changed the state constitution to ban same-sex couples from getting married.
