Former Techies Now Investing In Marijuana: Report

Investors are circling around the legal marijuana market.

The legal marijuana market in America has increased to $2.7 billion in annual sales. And cannabis' interest to investors was on full display this week, when capitalists from all over the country converged on San Francisco for the Arcview Group's invite-only investors' conference, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Take Seibo Shen, for example. The 38 year old San Francisco resident has already made piles of money in tech, the newspaper reported. But there he was Tuesday at the Fairmont Hotel, showing off his VapeXhale product.

Because here, he can make even more money more quickly, in a "one-puff" sales cycle, the newspaper reported.

Other tech veterans were on hand trying to see if they could attract the same kind of interest that led Peter Thiel's capital firm to sink cash into the weed industry.
