Four Suspects Arrested for Alleged Burglary in Cupertino

Four suspects in a Cupertino burglary were arrested on Halloween after deputies pursued the suspects' vehicle in Saratoga, the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office reported.

Deputies received a report of a burglary that afternoon at a home on Erin Way in Cupertino. The suspects fled the scene in a gold Lexus sedan at 11:45 a.m. when they realized the resident was home.

A deputy spotted the car a short time later in Saratoga and ran a registration check to find the vehicle had been stolen from San Jose in a carjacking that morning, according to sheriff's officials.

Deputies attempted to stop the car, but it sped away and eventually crashed through the front yard at a home on La Paloma Avenue, sheriff's officials said. Four suspects inside the car ran in different directions, and two were quickly arrested.

The other two suspects were arrested with the help of residents and a group of electricians in the area, according to sheriff's officials.

Terrence Gentry, 18, of San Jose and three boys aged 16 to 17 were booked into jail on suspicion of burglary and additional felonies.
