Google+ Getting Its Game On

Google announced that it's building a Games button for its popular social networking site, Google+.

Before everyone groans a collective groan, Google says it will make it optional to see game related status updates, including invitations to games and updates, says AdAge.

The move also positions Google to poke at Facebook's online-game revenue. The offerings are substantial -- Angry Birds to Crime City to a dozen or so more titles.

Zynga, the top social media game-maker in the market today, will be contributing games to the platform, along with Diamond Dash and Bejeweled tossed in, too.

And those game devs who were worried about the search engine giant taking 30 percent commission like Facebook does, do not fear, Venture Beat reports they'll only be taking 5 percent.
