SF Health Care Goes Supreme

Since its health care appeal was rejected, the Golden Gate Restaurant Association filed an emergency application with the Supreme Court, asking the nine justices to immediately halt the Healthy SF program.

And while many remain torn on the complicated issue, Deputy City Attorney Vince Chhabri makes himself clear on what he thinks: "I think their motion is frivolous ... GGRA's goal of taking away health care from tens of thousands of workers does not constitute an emergency that would require immediate Supreme Court attention." It remains to be seen if the Supreme Court will hear the case. [Chron]
