Governator's Plan to Sell State Buildings Challenged

Not so fast governator.

A bid by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to sell state buildings to help close the state's budget deficit is being challenged in court.

Two former state officials are suing the outgoing governor to block the sale of 11 state buildings for $2.3 billion, includng two buildings in San Francisco.

The suit challenges the legality and the constitutionality of the sale of public buildings to private investors.

Included in the sale is the State Building and Public Utilities Commission Building in San Francisco and the Elihu Harris Building in Oakland

The two men who brought the suit are former Schwarzenegger employees.
